BOTANICAL NAME: Cocos nucifera

AROMATIC: Fractionated Coconut oil has very little scent characteristic of most cold pressed vegetable oils but as with all untreated oils has a slightly fatty note.

EXTRACTION METHOD: Cold Pressed

COLOUR: Almost colourless

CONSISTENCY: Liquid at room temperature

ABSORPTION: Fractionated Coconut creates a less oily, protective barrier on the skin than general Coconut oil.

SHELF LIFE: Fractionated Coconut oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 9 Months to well over 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Factionated Coconut Coconut is less greasy as it is only a part of the coconut used in its manufacture and is usually completely fluid at room temperature. It is also the preferred oil for high quality cold process soap making.

Cheaper coconut oil is solid at room temperature. It is used to create a barrier on the skin.

USES:Coconut Oil is a very popular oil and is suitable for manufacturers, aromatherapists and massage therapists. Direct application to the face with Coconut should be avoided because of possible allergic reactions.
