Pistachio – (Pistacia Vera) Cold Pressed Vegetable Oil


BOTANICAL NAME: Pistacia vera

AROMATIC: Pistachio oil has very little scent characteristics but like all cold pressed and untreated vegetable oils and nut oils, has a slight fatty note.


COLOUR: Clear to pale green

CONSISTENCY: Slightly thicker than most cold pressed vegetable oils

ABSORPTION: Pistachio Oil will leave an oily film on the skin.

SHELF LIFE: Pistachio is slow to become rancid; users can expect 6 Months to 1 Year with proper Storage (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Pistachio is a light oil and an excellent emollient which provides a high level of moisturization to the skin, with the additional ability to be rapidly absorbed without a greasy feel.

USES: Pistachio oil is a very popular, all purpose carrier oil. It is used by manufacturers, aromatherapists, and massage therapists.
