History:-

White Cognac Oil is also known as ‘Wine Lees Oil’ or ‘Weinhefeoel’ in German. It is produced as a by-product of the distillation of Cognac (Brandy).

The pale colouration of this wine-lee oil comes from the still used in its manufacture. White Cognac maintains its pale colouration due to its distillation taking place in stainless steel stills.

Cognac oils were once manufactured in burnished copper stills, a tradition that has almost disappeared nowadays since stainless-steel stills predominate the industry. Green cognac essential oil on the other hand continues the tradition however. Oxidation occurs when the oil comes into contact with the metal, giving it the renowned and famous lovely beautiful green hue.
