Suma Root (Pfaffia paniculata) is the root of a rambling ground vine found in South America used traditionally by the Amazonian peoples as a medicine and tonic. It is not of the Panax (The Ginseng) family but, nevertheless, it is sometimes called Brazilian Ginseng in the Western World.
It is also nicknamed para tudo which means “for all.”
