SCENT: Red Cedarwood essential oil’s scent is sweet and woody, sometimes reminiscent of sandalwood.

The Red Cedarwood is a slow-growing, coniferous evergreen, reaching heights of 33 metres or more. The diameter of the trunks can reach over 1.5 metres. It has a reddish heartwood and bears brown cones. It is also known as Red cedar and is from the family Cupressaceae. Like its cousin, Cedarwood Texas, it is not strictly a Cedar but a Juniper.

It is also known as Cedarwood Virgininian, Eastern Red Cedar, Virginian Juniper, Eastern Juniper, Red Juniper, Pencil Cedar, and Aromatic Cedar

Its main use is in men’s toiletries, in products used to combat acne, and in products designed to relieve muscle and joint pain.Cedarwood Virginian is reputed to calm nervous tension and states of anxiety. It deters moths and other insects, and will act as a mild astringent. It is a very powerful antiseptic, fungicidal and antiseborrheic.

Red Cedarwood Essential Oil Blends Well With:-

Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cypress, Frankincense, Jasmine, Juniper, Neroli, Oakmoss, Petitgrain, Rose, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Ylang-Ylang.
